I’m Nina Michaela.
I’m a 26-year-old designer from Austria, devoted to bringing beauty into the world through my work.
I grew up as an only child in the Austrian Alps, surrounded by forests and meadows that shaped my sense of creativity and wonder. After graduating from fashion school, I felt a strong pull to leave my homeland and explore other cultures and corners of our planet — a journey that continues to inspire and influence my design practice today.
Between then and now, I worked different jobs to fund my travels, until in 2020 I finally found the courage to fully step into my dream and create Studio GRL. That moment marked the beginning of a deeper journey — learning to honor my own inner seasons.
Through my art practice, I’m discovering how to move at my own pace, beyond the limits of linear time. It teaches me to listen to my body’s wisdom and embrace its cyclical nature.
It’s the beauty around me that reflects the beauty within. A beauty that only reveals itself when I pause, when I slow down. A beauty that is always present, always generous — even as it coexists with the chaos and destruction of the world.
